Workblog For The Week : Getting worked over by the muse.

After a slightly rocky start to the year, I find myself in the pleasant situation of being able to report that the muse has come along and inspired me to start work on something that may turn into a Troy/Jen novella or serial. It’s a surprisingly significant whack of inspiration, too. The kind that most writers pray for, the kind that leaves you a little weak in the knees. (Work is continuing at a good pace on the Brocade Goat/Pirate’s Beard, mind you.)

Also, I recently got up the Sneak Preview for Dangerous Jade — full first chapter. Dangerous Jade is my first novella, in case you didn’t know, coming out at Further Confusion in a week or so. Around ninety pages long, it’s got illustrations and a cover by the famed, adored, and appreciated (by me, for his excellent work) Meesh.

So this week has been good to me. Alarmingly good to me. So good to me that my average wordcount is around 2 300 words a day, and I’m running something like ten against nothing on all the applicable metrics. (… I think that’s good? That might actually be really bad. D:)

Go pre-order Dangerous Jade if you haven’t already. Read a recent Troy/Jen short I put up, Delightful Nightmares. Have a pleasant weekend, and PLEASE OH PLEASE TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT DANGEROUS JADE AND TELL THEM IT’S AWESOME OH MY GAWWWD I AM SO NERVOUS ABOUT THE LAUNCH AT FC. @.@

(I won’t be at Further Confusion. If you all love me, and buy my book, however, I can hopefully afford to fly over for whenever my next release is.)
